Asset Champions Awards

2016 Asset Champion Breakfast

Project Cornerstone's 2016 Asset Champions Awards Breakfast, was held on March 24, 2016, and honored the individuals and organizations whose ongoing commitment to building positive relationships with young people helps make Silicon Valley a better place for young people to live and grow. The 2016 honorees are:

  • Positive Peer Influence: Tony Aguilar, FLY
  • Adult Role Model: Michael Fullbright, Milpitas High School
  • Positive Cultural Identity: Outlet, Adolescent Counseling Services
  • Community Values Youth: Youth in Philanthropy, Latino Family Fund de Gilroy
  • Caring Elementary School Climate: Village School, Campbell Union School District
  • Caring Middle School Climate: Cabrillo Middle School, Santa Clara Unified School District
  • Caring High Scool Climate: Summit Rainier High School, Summit Public Charter Schools

What is an Asset Champion?

Developmental assets are the positive experiences, values, behaviors, and relationships that enable young people to thrive (For more information about developmental assets, visit the Project Cornerstone website). Asset Champions are individuals or organizations that make extraordinary efforts to build developmental assets, create positive connections with young people, and inspire others to do the same.
